Sharon H. Allan, RN, MSN
Clinical Nurse Specialist
Ms. Allan completed her BSN at the University of Maryland in 1976. She completed a Business of Nursing Certificate Program in 2001 from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She also completed a Master's in Nursing Administration and Cardiothoracic Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2004 from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She has held an ACRP Certification as Clinical Research Coordinator since 2005.
She has been worked for the Johns Hopkins Health Care Systems and University since 1976, where most of her career has focused on the care of cardiothoracic surgical patients. Her experience includes a position as a Clinical Research Nurse Manager for Cardiac Surgery from 2000 - 2006, where her primary responsibility was overseeing and implementing Thoracic Transplant drug and device studies as well as Ventricular Assist Device Trials. She took the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist and coordinator for the Lung Transplant Team at Johns Hopkins in 2006. In this role, she primarily coordinates and manages inpatients.
