Continuing Our Commitment to Patient Experience
Convenient and Welcoming Entrances
The hospital's main entryway on Orleans Street features one continuous airport-style canopy, shielding you from inclement weather as you arrive. All areas of the hospital, including the adult and pediatric emergency rooms, are accessible through this single entrance.
Visitors also have the option of using the convenient traffic circle off of Wolfe Street to access our facilities.
When you stay in our upgraded facilities, you will enjoy one of 696 spacious private rooms with private baths and sleep sofas and chairs for families. You'll benefit from a quieter, more restful environment in spaces designed to absorb noise. You can use our interactive television network in your room to learn more about your health care team and to access the Internet for free.
During your hospital stay, you and your visitors will enjoy hotel-style amenities, including valet parking and free wireless Internet access. Public spaces include a modern food court and shops, landscaped gardens for meditation and reflection and a two-story indoor play area for children.
Additional luxury amenities are available in a limited number of deluxe rooms at the Marburg Pavilion; patients may also opt for the Enhanced Amenities Program when staying in any room in the hospital.
Customized Food Service
Oncology, pediatric, obstetric and medicine patients can order meals on demand, and all patients can choose from a wide range of dining options customized to meet their nutritional needs and preferences. Guests can enjoy Balducci's Food Lovers Market located in the Zayed Tower and healthy dining options ranging from a casual breakfast to a fast convenient dinner in the Cobblestone Café, all without leaving the hospital.
An Environment of Beauty
The hospital's elegant interior features natural materials, like terrazzo floors and marble and limestone walls, and a dramatic art collection with pieces from renowned artists on display throughout the hospital.
For both adults and children seeking emergency care, our bright, spacious, emergency department offers easily accessible emergency entrances, the most sophisticated radiology services in the country and convenient parking. The emergency department includes 99 private exam rooms (67 adult and 32 pediatric), six trauma care rooms and comfortable reception areas with ample seating.
* Patients staying overnight at The Johns Hopkins Hospital stay in private or semi-private rooms, depending on availability. Specific room type cannot be guaranteed.
