Assistant Professor of Surgery
Christopher L. Wolfgang, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and an attending surgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Wolfgang obtained his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and residency training in General Surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Wolfgang has obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, also from Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Wolfgang has completed a research fellowship in surgical oncology from Penn State and a clinical fellowship in advanced
gastrointestinal surgery at Johns Hopkins.

- Gastrointestinal tumors/cancer
- Benign surgical disease of the pancreas and biliary tree (e.g. repair of bile duct injuries)
Cystic lesions of the pancreas

- Biological mechanism of the initiation and growth of pancreatic cancers
