Brendan J. Collins, M.D.
Chief Resident, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Brendan Collins grew up on the east coast and attended college at Middlebury College, followed by medical school at Vanderbilt University. In medical school he obtained a research grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He has been at Johns Hopkins for the past eight years, having completed a residency in general surgery before beginning his plastic surgery fellowship in July 2006. The plastic and reconstructive experience in the Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland training program has been outstanding, and Dr. Collins has developed particular interests in reconstructive microsurgery, craniofacial trauma, breast reconstruction, and aesthetic surgery.
