The Surgery Interest Group (SIG)

logo

The Surgery Interest Group (SIG) at Johns Hopkins is committed to introducing the field of surgery and its sub-specialties to all students.  This is accomplished through various clinical lectures, workshops, and informal gatherings with faculty, medical students, and house staff.  SIG has also developed a shadowing program for students to observe surgeons from all surgical departments at John Hopkins Hospital.  The goal of SIG is to provide students interested in surgery with the opportunity to learn more about various disciplines and to foster relationships between students, residents, and the faculty.
