Anne O. Lidor, M.D., M.P.H, F.A.C.S. is an assistant professor of surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and has been a full time faculty member at Johns Hopkins Hospital since 2004. She earned a degree in biological sciences at the State University of New York at Binghamton and a medical degree at the New York Medical College. Her general surgical training was at the George Washington University Medical Center, including an additional two-year surgical research fellowship. Dr. Lidor then went on to complete a clinical fellowship in minimally-invasive surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a masters in public health at The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Lidor is the Surgical Director of the Johns Hopkins Multidisciplinary Foregut Center and is board-certified in general surgery. She specializes in laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery, with a focus on the surgical treatment of complex foregut diseases, including gastro-esophageal reflux, hiatal and paraesophageal hernias, as well as achalasia and other disorders of the stomach and esophagus. Additionally, she has extensive experience in applying minimally invasive surgical techniques to patients with inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulitis. Dr. Lidor also sees bariatric patients at the Bayview Medical Center. Dr. Lidor has ongoing research and publications related to foregut disease, diverticulitis, and surgical outcomes. She has a significant committment to medical education, acting as assistant director for the general surgery program and the director of the surgical subinternship program.
