Dr. Deune is an Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery. He is the Co-Director of the Hand Surgery Service. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He did his General surgery and Plastic surgery residencies at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and completed the Hand/Microsurgery fellowship at Washington University. His major clinical interests include adult and pediatric hand surgery, tumor and trauma-related upper and lower extremity microvascular reconstruction, and upper extremity functional restoration surgery for brachial plexus injuries. Dr. Deune has been on the faculty at Johns Hopkins since 1998.
