Alan Dackiw M.D., Ph.D., FACS, FRCS

Research Interests:

• Endocrine tumor genetics
• Familial tumor syndromes

• Intra-operative nerve monitoring
• Endocrine organ development
• Neoplasia in animal models of disease

Clinical Interests:

• Endocrine tumor surgery, including surgery of the adrenal, thyroid, parathyroid and endocrine pancreas.

Education:

Dr. Dackiw is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Johns Hopkins University in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Section of Endocrine Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He completed his general surgical training and Ph.D. at the University of Toronto in 1998 and then completed a surgical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, followed by an Endocrine Surgery fellowship in San Francisco, California at UCSF.
