Sleep Disorders Center

A majority of Americans report problems with their sleep, yet many suffer needlessly because they have not sought help. Left untreated, sleep disorders can contribute to heart attacks, stroke, high blood pressure, clinical depression, diabetes and excessive daytime sleepiness that interferes with normal activities of daily living.

The Sleep Disorders Centers at Suburban Hospital and Sibley Memorial Hospital provide a comprehensive program designed to evaluate people with various sleep-related problems.

Conveniently located in either Bethesda or Northwest Washington, D.C., the Sleep Disorders Centers can help treat various conditions, such as:

  • Periodic limb movements of sleep (PLMS)
  • Sleep apnea syndrome
  • Narcolepsy
  • Conditional insomnia
  • Breathing problems
  • Medical illness
