Bethesda, Md., (November 12, 2013) – Leila T. Hall, M.D., of Bethesda, has been named Chairperson of Pediatrics and Medical Director of the Shaw Family Pediatric Emergency Center (PEC) at Suburban Hospital effective December 1, 2013.
Since 2010, Dr. Hall has worked part-time in the PEC as a pediatric emergency physician and hospitalist. She has also run her own private practice, Next Generation Pediatrics, in Bethesda since 2011.
A graduate of Princeton University and the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine in Denver, Dr. Hall completed her residency at Children’s Hospital at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
David Reitman, M.D., the current Medical Director and Chair of Pediatrics, has accepted a position as the Medical Director for the Student Health Center at American University. Dr. Reitman plans to remain on board as a part-time pediatric hospitalist in the PEC at Suburban Hospital.
