Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md., has received official approval from the Maryland Health Care Commission to move forward with the building of the hospital clinical addition as reflected in the award of a Certificate of Need.

Suburban Hospital has received the 2016 Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for treating stroke patients.

Suburban Hospital and SIbley Memorial Hospital, both members of Johns Hopkins Medicine, have been recognized as a “Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization.
