John A. Flynn, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Flynn earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and first joined The Johns Hopkins Hospital for his medical internship and residency. Dr. Flynn then completed a fellowship in clinical rheumatology at Hopkins before his appointment to the full-time faculty.
Now, a professor in the Department of Medicine and Division of Rheumatology, and clinical director of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine since 1995, Dr. Flynn also holds a joint faculty associate position with the School of Nursing and Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Services. In addition to his clinical practice and research interests, Dr. Flynn also focuses on teaching clinical instruction throughout the country and mentoring assistant chiefs of service at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Flynn is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
