2013 Medical Student Research Day Award winners
Dear friends,
Thursday, January 24, 2013 marked the fifthannual Johns Hopkins Medical Student Research Day (MSRD). This event is a formal showcase for medical students to share their research accomplishments with the wider Hopkins community.
In addition to providing students an opportunity to network and connect with other research-oriented students and faculty, some podium presentations at the 2013 MSRD were eligible for the Henry Strong Denison Research Award, the Harold Lamport Biomedical Research Prize, and the W. Barry Wood Student Research Award. Other podium presentations were eligible for the Excellence in Medical Student Research Award. A dedicated group of faculty members acted as judges.
Any research in basic science, clinical science and public health & policy, history of medicine or medical humanities that is not part of a PhD thesis was eligible for consideration for these awards.
