Youth Fitness Circle

Nearly 20% of America’s adolescence are obese, and the number is on the rise. Started in 2002, the Youth Fitness Circle aims to address this growing issue in the Baltimore community. This program recruits overweight patients from the Harriet Lane Clinic with the goal of promoting physical well-being and building opportunities for longitudinal mentorship. Through physical, nutritional, and emotional education, the Youth Fitness Circle seeks to address the issue of adolescent obesity in the Baltimore community.
