WHAT IS AN ISIS ID?
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is committed to safeguarding the privacy of students and their personal information. In an ongoing effort to eliminate Social Security numbers from correspondence, the student's ISIS ID will be used as an identifier on all correspondence when applicable.
All new students are given a temporary ISIS ID. The temporary ISIS ID is a unique, 8 character, alphanumeric identifier that is used to authenticate prospective students who are new to online services. Students will receive a permanent JHED ID after matriculation.
HOW DO I OBTAIN MY ISIS ID?
Prospective students who are accepted to the JHU SOM will receive instructions about the process when they receive their financial aid award notification.
HOW DO I CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT?
New and prospective students should click on the new user access link below to create an account and authenticate themselves into the system.
HOW DO I LOGIN TO MY ISIS SELF-SERVICE ACCOUNT?
After creating a new account, new and prospective students must login to https://isis.jhu.edu/sswf/ and enter their temporary ISIS ID and password.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR AWARDING?
Select the "To Do List" tab in the financial aid portal, which will show the status of your financial aid application and what documents have been received in the financial aid office.
HOW DO I VIEW, ACCEPT OR DECLINE MY FINANCIAL AID AWARDS?
When financial aid awards are made available online, students will have access to a menu tab called "Accept Awards".
View Awards: Displays your financial aid status, an estimate of your cost of attendance and total aid amount.
Accept Awards: Students will be able to accept or decline each award. Links are provided which give an explanation of the awards listed.
Disbursement Information: Displays which funds have been credited to your student billing account.
WHAT IF I'VE LOST MY ISIS ID?
Send an e-mail to email@example.com, with the subject line "ISIS ID." Provide the following data in the body of the e-mail:
- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- Your permanent address
- Your projected degree and major
WHEN DO I RECEIVE A PERMANENT ID?
The Registrar's office will send all matriculating students, their official JHED ID beginning in June of the entering school year.
