Educational/Teaching Courses Resources

Office of Faculty Development

The Office of Faculty Development supports the professional development of our junior, mid-career, and senior faculty to assist them in achieving success and satisfaction at each stage of their careers in academic medicine. To support our faculty, we:

  • provide knowledge and skill-building seminars and workshops,
  • organize departmental mentorship and leadership programs
  • promote professional development courses offered through other programs, and
  • create web-based information resources to support faculty development.

The office also supports strategic recruitment and retention practices for a diverse faculty, investigates faculty turnover, and provides recommendations to the School of Medicine leaders to encourage the ongoing development of a respectful and inclusive work environment.

The office oversees sexual harassment and civility awareness-building and training programs, and works with department directors and other leaders to achieve faculty salary equity.

We welcome your suggestions and ideas about how we can provide the most valuable services, programs, and resources for our faculty.  Please let us know how we can best support you.
