Professorial Promotions Committee

Our goal is to help you and your director be successful in the promotions process.

Here you will find the template of a properly prepared CV for academic promotion and nomination letters that showcase scholarship expertise in research, teaching, clinical and/or program building, along with evidence of national and international recognition for this scholarship — the criteria by which you are evaluated for promotion.

You will also find an FAQ section with answers to the most common questions asked. Some of these answers are extracted from or directly linked to the GoldSilver or Blue Books, each an essential resource for faculty. For your convenience, we have also included several examples of well-crafted Program Builder’s and Educator’s Portfolios. To learn more about the Professorial Promotions Committee, please visit the resources page.  For those faculty (full-time or part-time) who are being nominated for promotion to Associate Professor on the Scholarship Track, the application and supporting materials should be submitted through Interfolio RPT.  More information on Interfolio and how to initiate an application can be found here.
