Sabin College Faculty Biographies

Rachel LevineRachel Levine
Associate Professor of Medicine

I have a primary care practice in Internal medicine, teach residents and students and perform research related to medical education. I grew up in Maryland. Growing up with my dad who is a doctor and who was always excited about going to work inspired me to become a doctor! I am married to Stuart, a veterinarian and have two sons, Abe 3 years and Ben 1 year. I went to McGill University School of Medicine, completed my residency in Internal Medicine, Boston University Medical Center, and afterwards did a fellowship in General Internal Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I fell in love with teaching and general medicine during my residency.  Academic GIM was the perfect way to combine these interests. I find it exciting in my current work to interact with patients, colleagues, residents and students. Try not to think of medical school as just something to get through.  Enjoy the process!
