The Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association was founded in 1940 and has been actively pursuing its educational and scientific missions ever since. The Association sponsors CME programs through its popular Biennial Meeting, provides current students with essential equipment such as pagers and stethoscopes, underwrites scientific discovery through its funding of several Young Investigator awards, and much more.

Membership is open to all degree and certificate recipients of the School of Medicine as well as all current and former faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and house staff.
