School of Medicine Convocation Ceremony

Congratulations to the Class of 2012! On May 24, this distinguished group of graduates embarked on their future careers as physicians and scientists, following in the footsteps of Hopkins greats like Alfred Blalock, Med '22, Denton Cooley, Med '44, Victor McKusick, Med '46 and Peter Agre, Med '74.

During the school's 117th convocation ceremony, of the 289 students to cross the stage, 106 were awarded M.D. degrees and will continue their training at 58 hospitals and medical institutions in 20 states. 152 individuals earned Ph.D. degrees; nine received a dual M.D./Ph.D. degree. Additionally, 16 students graduated with an M.A. degree and six where awarded an M.S. degree.
