1978...

James Earl Carter, Jr. is President and Walter F. Mondale is Vice President. Sony introduces the Walkman, the first portable stereo. Balloon angioplasty is developed to treat coronary artery disease. Louise Brown, the first test-tube baby, is born in London. Night Fever and Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees top the charts.

1978 was an unforgettable year - it was the year we graduated from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine!
