The Housing Office, located in the Lowell J. Reed Medical Residence Hall on the East Baltimore medical campus, assists students, faculty and staff with off-campus housing and maintains comprehensive listings of available houses and apartments. Many first-year students choose to live in a newly opened apartment complex, located directly across from the East Baltimore campus.
Despite its size, Baltimore is a relatively easy city in which to get around. There are a number of neighborhoods within quick commuting distance to the medical campus that offer attractive and affordable housing options, close to amenities such as restaurants, nightlife, shopping, parks and cultural attractions. Many of our graduate students live in the Fells Point or Canton neighborhoods just south of the medical campus or near the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus in Charles Village in North Baltimore. For your convenience, there is a free shuttle bus that connects the two campuses.
