Partial Task Models

Partial task trainer simulation involves the use of products to learn or practice a specific skill such as intubation heads, central venous line chests, intraosseous line legs or umbilical artery cannulation trainers.

Partial task units are usually plastic body parts:

  • wrists
  • pelvises
  • heads for intubation simulations

The goal of training on partial-task models is to “practice on plastic” first, so that when techniques are applied to more complex simulations or real-life situations, the medical professional has a better understanding of how to behave and react.
