The Clinical Education Center (CEC) was created in 1993 to serve the Johns Hopkins medical institutions. The CEC supports the use of standardized patient simulation in teaching, assessment and research. The primary goal is to improve medical student education in: - clinical skills
- interviewing skills
- communication skills
All of these skills are are vital to the medical professional's interaction with patients and their families. The Center has also worked closely with other healthcare professionals in area academic medical centers to disseminate standardized patient technology to their programs.
