Traveling for Care?
Whether you're crossing the country or the globe, we make it easy to access world-class care at Johns Hopkins.
Generations of woman trust our practitioners with their health—since 1976
Our practice boasts a diverse group of clinical practitioners. We are home to the largest midwifery practice in Maryland since 1986: seven Certified Nurse Midwives provide care for women during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum care. They also promote preventative care with annual exams and family planning services. Twelve physicians specialize in routine gynecological care and advanced gynecological surgery.
Both routine obstetrics and high-risk obstetrics are the cornerstones of our practice, and we offer routine obstetric care, management of multiple gestation pregnancies, evaluation of postpartum depression and referrals for educational classes for expectant parents.
Education and communication are key
A critical part of caring for women involves educating them about their health and well-being in many aspects of their lives. That is why our practitioners spend time with each patient, discussing various health issues and the latest guidelines and research. In fact, our well-woman health visits are an excellent time for our practitioners to provide health, nutrition and exercise information geared toward each individual patient.
Comprehensive care sets our practice apart, so that at any phase of a woman’s lifetime she can receive warm, personal care with excellent clinicians who have served generations of women in Howard County.
