After receiving his M.D. from New York Medical College in 1971, Dr. Mayer served an internship at Cornell Cooperating Hospital and a residency at New York Medical College. He joined the practice in 1977 and became board certified in 1978. Dr. Mayer has served as President of the Medical Staff at Howard County General Hospital. In 1993, Dr. Mayer limited his practice to gynecology.
Dr. Hogan attended The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where she was a member of AOA, the honorary medical society and earned her M.D. She completed a residency at The George Washington University Hospital and affiliated hospitals. She entered the practice in 1982 and was board certified in 1985. Trained in a wide variety of obstetrical and gynecological disciplines, she maintains a special interest in the maturing woman and has extensive training with the latest techniques in operative laparoscopy. Dr. Hogan was voted "Best Gynecologist of 1997" in Columbia Magazine and one of the Top Docs by Baltimore Magazine in 2002. She was named to Chesapeake Magazine's 2011 List of Favorite Doctors. She has served as President of the Medical Staff and Chair of the Department of OB/GYN at Howard County General Hospital.
Subsequent to receiving her M.D. from the University of Maryland Medical School, Dr. Campbell completed an internship and residency at Sinai Hospital. She joined this practice in 1988. Board certified in 1990, her special interests include gynecological ultrasound, problems and symptoms associated with menopause, and patient management. She was named to Chesapeake Magazine's 2011 List of Favorite Doctors. Dr. Campbell is a former Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard County General Hospital.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of Wooster, Dr. Watson attended the University of Maryland Medical School and did her OB/GYN residency at the University of Vermont. She joined the practice in 1991 and was board certified in 1993. She has specialized training in laparoscopic surgery and has volunteered her medical services to needy patients in Baltimore City, New Mexico, South America, Pakistan and Nepal. Dr. Watson currently serves as Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard County General Hospital.
Obstetrics & Gynecology
Dr. Saraiya joined our practice in 1996. She received her M.D. at the Armed Forces Medical College in India. After residencies and board certification in India and the United Kingdom, she completed her U.S. residency at the University of Maryland Hospital. She was board certified in 1987 and was awarded a fellowship to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in London in 1995.
A native of Maryland, Dr. Means performed seven years of research in the biomedical field. Dr. Means received her Medical Degree from the University of South Carolina. She then completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas. After residency she returned to Maryland and joined the practice in 2005. Dr. Means is currently serving as our Clinical Lead.
Dr. Kokkinokos graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus with a degree in Biological Sciences. He subsequently went on to receive his medical degree and complete his residency at the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore. Before joining our practice in 2006, Dr. Kokkinakos spent six years in private practice and ten years as an Attending Physician at Rhodes General Hospital in Greece.
Dr. Sun is a graduate from Wofford College, Summa Cum Laude in Chemistry Science. She earned her M.D. from University of South Carolina, School of Medicine. She then entered residency at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She joined the practice in 2007. She was Board Certified in 2010 and was named to the Chesapeake Family Magazine's 2011 List of Favorite Doctors!
Dr. Holsey attended the University of Pennsylvania as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Sociology. She received her M.D. from Cornell University Medical College and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center in N.Y. She then spent four years on faculty in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard University Hospital. She was Board certified in 2005 and joined our practice in 2007.
Dr. Hall attended Howard University and graduated with honors with a degree in Biology. Before entering medical school, she spent 5 years doing interventional cardiovascular research in Washington, DC. She subsequently went on to earn her Medical Degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her residency training at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey before joining our practice in 2009.
After completing dual undergraduate bachelor degrees in Psychology and Biology, Dr. Denise Kirkner-Vourlos received her medical degree from the St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, where she received the 2006 Resident of the Year award and the 2006 Advanced Robotic Laparoscopic Surgeon of the Year award. She is particularly interested in critical care medicine and high-risk pregnancy. In her free time, she enjoys cycling.
