FREE PARKING TIME PERIODS

All Base Access parkers are required to use their JHMI Identification
Badge to access and exit all JHMI East Baltimore Campus parking
facilities (excluding Caroline St. Garage, 550 Lot &Weinberg Garage ).
Your I.D. Badge is your "parking permit" during BASE ACCESS time
periods (all JHMI employees/students are assigned Base Access).

FREE - BASE ACCESS TIME PERIODS
Monday thru Friday - 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
All day Saturday, Sunday and designated JHH Holidays

To "access" and "exit" a parking facility during Base Access hours, employees/students must swipe their Identification Badge through the card readers. If you swipe your card and the system fails to grant you access, please follow the instructions listed below:

1.) Make sure you are swiping your card correctly. The black magnetic stripe should be facing the arrow on the card reader.

2.) Try swiping your card in both directions several times.

3.) If you have completed steps 1 and 2, and are getting a Red light or No light change when you swipe, press the intercom button located on the card reader for assistance.

4.) You can reach the Parking Office at 5-5333 or 5-8803, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or the I.D. Office at 5-5325, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. After office hours, please leave a voice mail message and include the following information:

A. Your Name (please spell your name clearly)

B. Card Number (the number should be printed on your I.D. badge)

C. Clearly describe the problem you are experiencing (i.e., you are getting a Red light when you swipe, or there is no change in lights when you swipe, etc.).

D. The hours you work and a phone number where you can be reached.

NOTE: Please be advised that employees/students who pull tickets and have a valid and working JHMI I.D. Badge will be charged for the hours parked.
