Definition:
Maryland Health and Higher Education Facilities Authority - MHHEFA owns the parking facilities located on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore Medical Campus. Broadway Services, Inc. operates the facilities under contract with MHHEFA.

Satellite parking refers to parking facilities located off-campus with transportation services providing shuttles enroute to and from the locations. We currently offer parking at two satellite locations within 1.5 miles of the East Baltimore Campus.

Purpose:
To provide a low-cost option to the staff and students of Johns Hopkins East Baltimore Medical Campus and to help reduce demand in the on-site facilities.

Procedure:
To sign up for Satellite Parking, the individual must go to ID/Parking Office located in Harvey/Nelson 108. At that time, the individual will complete the parking New Start form and pay the first month's payment.

At this time the individual will be given a choice between our two satellite parking facilities, the Fallsway Lot located off of High Street 1.3 miles west of campus or the Monument St., located at 3700 E. Monument, approximately 1.4 miles east on campus. Assignment is based solely on the availability of space at the satellite lot of choice.

Both lots require a twenty-dollar refundable deposit. To receive a refund on your deposit, the parking permit card (Fallsway) or transponder (Monument) must be returned to the parking office when parking is cancelled. Refunds are made by check and mailed to the individual's home address. The parking office cannot make cash refunds.

Authorized Individuals: Students or Staff with a valid JHMI ID badge.

Excluded from the Policy: Contractors and Vendors, unless authorized by Director of Parking
