Definition:
Maryland Health and Higher Education Facilities Authority - MHHEFA
owns the parking facilities located on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore
Medical Campus. Broadway Services, Inc. operates the facilities under
contract with MHHEFA.
The Refund Policy refers to the permit holder's ability to receive
monies overcharged after a parking permit was cancelled.
Purpose:
To provide permit holders with a procedure to be followed to request
and receive a refund for any funds deducted after a cancellation form
was submitted.
Procedure:
Payroll Deduction
Once the employee has cancelled his/her parking permit, the ID/Parking
Office will notify payroll (JHH employees) or accounts payable (JHU
employees) of the parking cancellation and request reimbursement to
the employee for any funds deducted after the cancellation form was
submitted.
The parking office staff will make all necessary contacts in an effort
to insure refund is processed in a timely manner; however, because
refunds are processed outside of the control and authority of the
parking office, the parking office cannot guarantee timeliness of
the refund.
Authorized Individuals: All Staff of the Johns Hopkins East
Baltimore Medical Campus utilizing Direct Payroll Deduction
Excluded from the Policy: Monthly, Monthly Temporary and Annual
pay Permit Holders
