Dr. Kevin Fontaine is a psychologist whose research interests focus on: (1) the physical and emotional consequences of chronic diseases such as obesity and arthritis, and (2) the association between obesity, body composition, and mortality, and (3) the effect of promoting physical activity on health and quality of life in persons with arthritis. He is the recent recipient of an American College of Rheumatology Health Professional Investigator Award to investigate the effect of lifestyle exercise on fibromyalgia.
