Christine Durand Lab

  • Research in the Christine Durand Lab is primarily focused on the impact of HIV and hepatitis C on cancer and transplant therapy outcomes. We conduct both clinical and transitional studies on patients who are infected with HIV or hepatitis C in order to better understand how the viruses impact cancer treatment and organ transplants. Our research efforts include studying HIV cure strategies, including bone marrow transplantation; investigating outcomes of hepatitis C treatment after solid organ transplant; and exploring the potential use of organs from HIV-infected donors for HIV-infected transplant candidates.
