Simon Mathews

Simon Mathews

Simon is a fourth year medical student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is currently spending the year as a Research Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Quality and Safety Research Group (QSRG) where he has been working on a variety of topics including clinical handoffs, quality of care measures, and health care reform. 

He is also helping to establish the Johns Hopkins Medicine Learning Lab, which seeks to reduce harm to patients through innovative partnership with industry.

Prior to medical school, Simon worked briefly in investment banking and as a clinical research coordinator. He graduated from the University of Virginia where he studied Economics and Foreign Affairs.
