Life as a Fellow
While Fellowship is a time of hard work and learning, it should also be a time for....fellowship. We promote cameraderie among Fellows and Faculty with activities such as a welcoming barbeque, divisional picnic and holiday party, Fellows' newsletter, Bowling Night, Graduate Reception, dinners at faculty homes, and other events. The Johns Hopkins Medical Auxilliary is an organization of spouses of Fellows and house staff that sponsors social events and interest groups, and provides information on daycare, schools, babysitters, etc. Low cost health club membership is available for Fellows and their families at facilities on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore, Bayview, and undergraduate campuses. Recreational, cultural, entertainment, and dining opportunities abound in Baltimore and the Washington metropolitan areas. Information can be found by exploring some of the links below:
