Professional Interests

The application of neurochemical brain imaging to understand the regulation of monoamine systems in pathophysiology and treatment response associated with affective and cognitive disorders. Current, active projects include the application of these methods to psychotic depression, geriatric depression and Alzheimer’s disease. Studies also focus on using these and other molecular imaging methods to understand the role of monoamine degeneration relative to other neurodegenerative processes (e.g. beta-amyloid deposition).
