Professional Interests

The relationship between brain development and disorders of executive function in children, including those with ADHD, movement disorders, dyslexia, Spina Bifida, childhood cancer, prenatal alcohol exposure, and sleep apnea.  As Director of the Department of Neuropsychology at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, Dr. Mahone oversees a large clinical program (over 30 providers) and serves as discipline chief for Neuropsychology throughout KKI.
