Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at  Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offer a wide variety of outpatient, inpatient and emergency psychiatric, mental health and addiction services for adults, children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults.


Children, Teens and Young Adults

Child, Teen and Young Adult Psychiatry ServicesWe offer treatment for attention difficulties, learning problems, school difficulties, depression, drug and alcohol abuse, poor social adjustments or behavioral problems. Patients are generally under 18 years of age but we also treat young adults. Spanish-speaking therapists are available. We accept medical assistance and some private insurances.
 

Adults and Older Adults

 Adult and Older Adult Psychiatric ServicesWe offer treatment for relationship difficulties, stress, obesity, depression , anxiety, schizophrenia, memory loss, dementia, sleep problems, and behavior problems. We do crisis intervention, comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatments, as well as individual, family and group psychotherapy. Psychiatric medications, if needed are provided by a psychiatrist. We accept Medicare, medical assistance, and some private insurances.


Addiction and Substance Abuse

Addiction and Substance Abuse SrevicesWe treat individuals suffering from alcohol and drug use problems with and without other psychiatric illnesses with both standard outpatient care (1-3 hours per week) and intensive outpatient care (10 hours per week). We accept Medicare, medical assistance and some private insurances.
