Garima Sharma M.D received her medical degree from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College in Mumbai. She received her Internal Medicine and Cardiology fellowship training at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was awarded the outstanding Fellow Educator award during her fellowship for year 2009. Dr. Sharma has served on the American College of Cardiology Fellow in Training Committee and currently is also serves on the ACC Early Career Professional Committee. She chairs the ACC Mentorship workgroup and is heavily involved in setting up a formal Mentoring Program within the ACC, the purpose of which is to link young professionals with experienced cardiologists for career development. She also serves on the MD ACC Chapter committee and is involved in planning the educational curriculum of the State chapter session at the Heart House since 2012.
