Biography

Dr. Kimberly Pargeon focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with seizures and epilepsy, including potential surgical treatments. She is an attending physician in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and has specific interests in continuous electroencephalography in the intensive care unit, seizure surgery, and epilepsy in women.

Dr. Pargeon's primary area of research interest includes aspects of continuous electroencephalography in the ICU setting, including describing unique EEG patterns associated with specific diagnoses and the significance of certain EEG patterns to clinical care.

Dr. Pargeon completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and attended The Ohio State University for medical school. She then completed both her internship and neurology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center here in Baltimore. Dr. Pargeon completed a two-year fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY in June, 2011, and then joined the faculty at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in July, 2011. While at Albert Einstein, her inpatient focus mostly centered on epilepsy and intraoperative monitoring, while she saw outpatients with epilepsy, as well as those with other neurological conditions.

Dr. Pargeon currently sees patients in the the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center on Monday mornings and afternoons.
