Dr. Ghiaur, a member of the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, is a physician-scientist whose primary interest is normal and malignant hematopoiesis, especially the role of the microenvironment in cell extrinsic drug resistance and persistence of minimal residual disease. He has distinguished himself as an outstanding laboratory-based investigator and a superior clinician.
