Dr. Ghiaur, a member of the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, is a physician-scientist whose primary interest is normal and malignant hematopoiesis, especially the role of the microenvironment in stem cell biology. He has distinguished himself as an outstanding laboratory-based investigator and a superior clinician. His research has translational potential in stem cell therapeutics, as well as acute leukemia.
