Research & Publications
Dr. Yu is interested in developmental processes that render the immature brain vulnerable to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and neonatal seizures. Focusing on the role of epigenetics in the cellular and molecular pathophysiology of these disorders, she is investigating age-dependent differences in these processes as a means to develop new therapies for disorders of the infant brain.
