Vani Bhatt, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed her residency training in pediatrics at Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.
Dr. Bhatt loves working with children and strives to practice up-to-date medicine so that she may consistently provide the highest levels of newborn, infant, child and adolescent care to all her pediatric patients. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ councils on Early Childhood and School Health, and she takes a special interest in prenatal consults, newborns, early childhood and brain development.
Dr. Bhatt is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Section on Uniformed Services, and she is proud to have the opportunity to be “serving those who serve us” on a daily basis. She also participates in MD Responds, Maryland’s Medical Reserve Corps.
She is a representative on the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Council on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, and she participates in the academy’s Quality Improvement Innovation Networks. She is a Neonatal Resuscitation Program and a Pediatric Advanced Life Support provider.
In 2014, Dr. Bhatt was awarded the Physician Recognition Award with Commendation by the American Medical Association and Magic Star recognition for quality patient care and management from Johns Hopkins Medicine. She received the AAP CME/CPD Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2013. She was also the recipient of the prestigious Gold Medal from the National Neonatology Forum.
