Background

Dr. Scheib is a board certified OB/GYN, directing the Minimally Invasive Surgery program and the Multidisciplinary Fibroid Center for the Division of Gynecologic Specities at Johns Hopkins. She completed her minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University and has become nationally known as an expert in single incisions laparoscopic technique for hysterectomies and other gynecologic procedures-- minimizing post-operative pain, scars, and recovery time. In addition, she is also an expert in advanced hysteroscopy and office hysteroscopy.

Her research centers on medically complicated patients –including morbidly obese patients, and exploring ways to combine bariatric surgeries and gynecologic operations. Additionally, she is interested in investigating the outcomes and benefits of traditional laparoscopic, robotic, and single incision techniques. Dr. Scheib has a special interest in treating chronic pelvic pain, particularly in patients of reproductive age.
