Amir Pirouzian, M.D., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute and is currently the chair of the Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH), Wilmer''s affiliate hospital in Saudi Arabia. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and his research interests include pediatric cataracts, pediatric glaucoma and pediatric refractive surgery.

Dr. Pirouzian received his M.D. from George Washington University. He completed an internship in internal medicine and his ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Irvine, where he also completed a fellowship in cornea and cornea research. He completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of California, Los Angeles. He joined the Wilmer faculty in 2013. more
