Biography

Dr. Gerin Stevens is the medical director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She specializes in caring for patients who suffer from heart failure, and for patients undergoing heart transplant or receiving a mechanical assist device.

Dr. Stevens received her undergraduate degree from The University of Rochester, her Masters and Ph.D. in Neurobiology and Physiology from Northwestern University, and her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. After her internal medicine residency at the Boston University Medical Center, she completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Stevens joined Johns Hopkins in 2013.

Dr. Stevens’ research interests include advanced imaging techniques and mechanical assist devices in patients with congestive heart failure.
