Raj Deu, M.D., is a specialist in Primary Care sports medicine. He sees and treats adults and high school aged athletes with a wide range of non-operative sports medicine issues, including musculoskeletal injuries to all joints, medical care of athletes (from recreational to professional), acute injuries, strains, sprains, non-operative fractures, overuse injuries, and running injuries. Dr. Deu has a special interest in helping performing artists with dance injuries, and caring for patients with knee osteoarthritis.
He works closely with his sports medicine surgical partners in the event that his patients may be candidates for surgical treatment and helps provide a seamless integration between the non-surgical and surgical care of patients who are seen in the Division of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Deu is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
Previously, Dr. Deu worked as an Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson Medical College after completing a residency in family medicine at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in sports medicine at Jefferson Medical College.
