Dr. Poretti is a research assistant professor of radiology. He graduated from medical school at the University of Berne, Switzerland and earned is M.D. title at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Then he completed a residency in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology at the University Children’s Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland and a postdoctoral research fellowship in Pediatric Neuroimaging at the Johns Hopkins University.
With a primary focus of expertise and clinical research in pediatric cerebellar diseases including malformations, other genetic diseases, and acquired disorders and the application of advanced neuroimaging techniques to study the pediatric brain, Dr. Poretti has given more than 70 invited lectures, published 150 peer reviewed articles and reviews, and more 30 book chapters. He is a reviewer for multiple scientific journals and is an editorial member of three journals.
