Background

Laura Di Meglio, O.D., is an instructor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. As a primary care optometrist, she provides routine eye exams, diabetic eye exams and co-manages glaucoma, cataracts and post-refractive surgery. Dr. Di Meglio also specializes in contact lenses and advanced contact lens fittings, including scleral, rigid gas permeable, orthokeratology, soft toric and soft multifocal lenses. She also has a special interest in diagnosing and managing ocular surface abnormalities and disease. 

Dr. Di Meglio received her optometry degree from New England College of Optometry, where she also completed a an additional year of residency training in Cornea and Contact lenses.

Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, her clinical field placements included the University of Maryland and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in White River Junction, VT.
