Dr. Dana Block-Abraham joined the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2015. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in maternal-fetal medicine.
Dr. Block-Abraham earned her D.O. degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She then completed a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at University of Maryland Medical Center.
Her research interests include prediction and prevention of preeclampsia, innovative techniques in fetal therapy, and health policy. She serves as a reviewer for Hypertension.
She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and a member of both the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association. She holds several leadership positions within these organizations, including involvement on a number of national committees.
