Clarissa Kum, OD, is an Instructor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. She is a primary care optometrist in the Neuro-Ophthalmology division providing visual function evaluation for Pituitary Center patients, with special interests in neuro-ophthalmic diseases and other ocular diseases such as glaucoma and diabetes. She also provides comprehensive exams as well as monitoring and supportive care for neuro-ophthalmology patients.
Dr. Kum received her optometry degree from SUNY State College of Optometry, where her clinical education included an internship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. She then completed a one-year residency in hospital-based primary eye care and ocular diseases at the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, TN.
